Help... My son had Itunes on our old computer.
I bought a new computer with Vista as the operating system.
It appears that all the Itunes he purchased have vanished.
He has not put in his ipod but they seem absent from his library.
Any guidance on how to resurrect/locate the songs?
Thanks,
Frank at fxbergmeister@msn.com
If the purchased music is still on the iPod, you're looking for the “Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod” option.
In general, the music you get from the iTunes Store stays on your computer, not on the iTunes Store service. If you want to have the music on a new computer, you'll need to copy the music files to the new computer yourself. iTunes has a “Back Up to Disc” option in the File menu that will let you put the music files on a disc, where you can copy them back off into the new computer's iTunes.
Hope that helps!
