<div>plus the new Apple wireless keyboard that&#39;s all the rage, so I can type from the couch. I also bought a USB extension cable for my mouse, as I couldn&#39;t find a wireless mouse that didn&#39;t suck and I didn&#39;t realize those cables don&#39;t actually work (plus it&#39;s way too long, which only made it worse, I imagine). Instead I had to stretch the regular Mac keyboard with USB socket out to use <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic; ">it</span> as an extension for the mouse cable... but at least I was able to enjoy the season finale of <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Sam &amp; Max</span> season 2 in big screen amaze-o-vision.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></p>   <p style="clear:both;">

<div><br /></div><div>It wasn&#39;t discounted extra for the <a href="http://mark.vox.com/library/post/amazon-tv.html">new DLP models</a>, but I decided it was time to give up and buy it on Amazon, and when I looked on the site today, Amazon showed me&#160;<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&amp;docId=1000209221" style="text-decoration: underline; ">a separate offer for a free up-converting DVD player</a>. I was a little worried about getting a tv shipped, but after Amazon had <a href="http://consumerist.com/consumer/complaints/tv-shipping-in-the-valley-of-the-amazons-175047.php">trouble with broken items through UPS</a>, they <a href="http://www.lockergnome.com/dabrace1984/2008/01/08/buying-an-hdtv-from-a-bm-store-versus-amazoncom/">switched to Eagle</a>, who everyone <a href="http://www.amazon.com/tag/flat-panel%20lcd%20tvs/forum/ref=cm_cd_ef_tft_tp?_encoding=UTF8&amp;cdForum=Fx11L42VXXUVY3W&amp;cdThread=TxOZ0LRM4JQPR&amp;displayType=tagsDetail">complains is slow</a>... but slow versus broken isn&#39;t much of a choice, is it?</div><div><br /></div><div>I had looked at the glossy LNT466<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">5</span>F, but its sibling, the matte LNT466<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;">1</span>F, is a few hundred dollars cheaper. The 4661 a Consumer Reports &quot;Quick Pick&quot; from the March issue <a href="http://mark.vox.com/library/post/i-for-one-welcome-our-new-lcd-overlords.html">Henry mentioned</a>. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT4661F-VS-LNT4665F/forum/Fx36E9FXLNAQQEO/Tx19EAERU5IF2BF/1?_encoding=UTF8&amp;asin=B000NVLQ72">Amazon forumgoers seem</a> to prefer the 4665, but <a href="http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=866197">these folks think</a> the glare is a bigger issue. The Amazon thread also says the speakers are on the bottom on the 4661 instead of the sides as on the 4665, but CR still gave the 4661 an “excellent” in sound quality.</div><div><br /></div><div>I guess we&#39;ll see in a week or two!</div></div></p>   <p style="clear:both;">
